I have an issue. Seems like if I am running Sparrow, and it is "hidden", if I close or hide all other windows (other applications) Sparrow "pops" back up or, if in full screen mode, the focus is centered back on Sparrow. Has anyone else run into this? I noticed this with other programs on Lion but I can only replicate this issue with Sparrow on Mountain Lion.

Guys, new development. So I had previously "killed" the desktop via a terminal command which hides all the icons. I re-initialized the desktop but unfortunately it did not solve the problem.
Through further testing, I can saw the problem also manifests itself when "Mail" is in full screenmode. I have tried other programs (Safari, etc) and the problem is not replicated.
Any ideas? This is driving me bat sh*t crazy!
I've had the same problem since "upgrading" to Mountain Lion. Is there a solution to this yet?

I thought of that but, as mentioned above, I can now replicate the issue with other programs - notably "Mail" - and not with others - notably "Safari."
Seems like an Apple issue
