How to Make iTunes detect iPhone?

I recently reformated my computer (Windows 7 PC), and I've been having trouble with iTunes. I wasn't able to get iTunes to detect my iPhone/iPad. However, I have searched this forum and found out that if I stop, then start Apple Mobile Device in Services it would detect my iPhone/iPad, and it does. But I have to do this everytime I turn on my computer. I never had to do this before. Is there any way I can get iTunes to detect my iPhone/iPad without going through Services everytime?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1

Make sure you have set the AMDS to automatic. See "Set the Apple Mobile Device Service Startup type to Automatic" here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1567.

Try removing and reinstalling iTunes --> http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925.

Also, is AMDS set to "Automatic" in the Services control panel?

Yes, I have set it to automatuc and follwed the exact instructions of un-installing anything iTunes related. Still doesn't work.

Third party programs may need to be disabled as well. Norton, Mcafee, Kasperkey any kind of security that could block should be temporarily disabled.

Did you ever get it to work because itunes won't recognize any of my devices after this last update and I have tried all the advise here, none of it worked.
