Bugging Wifi issues of Lion, remain in Mountain Lion too.

I have another bugging issue.

I had this problem in Lion too, thought it would be fixed if I cleaned install (was lazy to do so), now cleaned install MLion after a year, still the same problem.

If I leave my laptop to sleep mode, then when I wake it up again, it will never connect to my wifi network!

A) I HAVE TO HAVE reboot my router

B) I HAVE to restart my macbook pro.

to fix this and to make it able to connect to my hotspot again. nothing else seems to fix it.

Please help. this is THE most frustating feature of my mac.

its a generic OEM make, provided by the ISP. But I don't understand how should that be a problem as all other wireless devices of my, including a iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad work just fine!

Plus, rebooting the laptop fixs it do, without doing any change in the router/rebooting it.

I had the same problem with my Motorola router. My iPhone and iPad worked fine all the time but my MacBook couldn't connect to internet after waking from sleep mode. I disabled "IP Flood Detection" in my router firewall setting and after that it works fine.

well, I can't find any such setting on my router. But from the name of the option it seems logical that if such a function is actually enabled on my router then it will most certainly cause issues.

Has Apple said anything at all about Mountain Lion wifi issue? They never commented on the Lion issue!

I'm not quite sure if it's an issue with Mountain Lion or Lion, because before disabling the "IP Flood Detection" option I had the same problem with other laptops (Sony and Dell) on my network. Neither of them could connect to wifi after the sleep mode. I would say you can also try another laptop on your network to see if its a network problem or an OS problem.

I am quite sure it's not an issue with my network, because like I said before it works just fine on my other wireless devices..It's just this macbook pro :| And IIRC I did not have such issues in SLeopard but in Lion yes! It was there..and I think it's in Mountain Lion too. 😟
