If i am downloading a movie, does anyone know if it will continue to download in power nap?

but i have a macbook pro 15", there is no update for my laptop
I have the newest firmware update for my mid 2012 macbook air, but when I download an update from the appstore and I then close the lid of my laptop, when I open it again it gives me an error message that the network connection ahs been lost
