Is iLife '09 supported with Mountain Lion?

I am currently using Mac OS X 10.6.8, the latest version of Snow Leopard. I'm intending on upgrading my mid-2010 MacBook Pro to Mountain Lion. However I have iLife '09 (iPhoto, GarageBand, iMovie). Will my version of iLife be compatible with Mountain Lion?

Thank you for your help.

I do not think it matters which you do first as far as iLife '11. I have now upgraded to Mountain Lion and all of my iLife '09 still works. I just checked right now and my iPhoto, which is iPhoto '09 (version 8.1.2) works fine. However, if you are interested in using Photo Stream, an iCloud feature to sync photos from your iOS devices, you will have to upgrade to iLife '11 (or just buy iPhoto individually through the Mac App Store), either before or after your upgrade to Mountain Lion.

I hope this helps.

UPDATE: I just realized that you have to buy each iLife application individually for $14.99, you cannot buy them all at the same time.

I just tried uploading a movie to YouTube with iMovie '09. iMovie crashed when it tried to upload after preparing the movie. It was the first time I tried uploading since I upgraded to Mountain Lion from Lion. I tried it a few times, even with a short test video. Never had this problem before.

So, it looks to me like some features of iMovie '09 no longer work with Mountain Lion. The next thing I will try is to export from iMovie and then get the movie onto my iPhone to try uploading from there.

does 09 still work with clean install ML?

Like the Original Poster, I had a Snow Leopard on Macbook Pro Early 2011. Took a backup of the system and erased my volume to install an SSD and HDD combination, then did a fresh install of Mountain Lion.

Now installing all applications manually to have it clean. Can I transfer iLife '09 by simply dragging them from my old clone (done by Carbon Copy Cloner)? I almost never use iPhoto and rarely use iMovie. Garageband is what I need most.

Or, will I have to purchase from Apple store?

finally, to those who installed '09 on their ML systems... what happens if you try a software update on the iLife products?
