Q: Bottom of screen not working??!!!

Hi, I have been having trouble with my Ipod touch 4g
The touch sensors near the bottom of the ipod dont seem to be working.
I can scroll  but i cant press anything near the bottom ( Safari, email and the other apps i have at the bottom).
everything above that works fine.
IPod still works the same so im guessing its smth to do with either the touch sensors and the screen?

It all started when I dropped in water but it was the sink so it didnt get submerged in water.

So im not sure if the fall cause it (landed pretty heavily) or if water got into it.

Any recomendations will be appreciated!!
Please help if u can!

I think my ipod is a generation 4 (the latest one before the ipod touch with the camera)

    - A reset. Nothing is lost

Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    - Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

    - Restore from backup

    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod

If still problem that indicates a hardware problem and service is required.
