Q: Home Sharing, Syncing, same apps on both iPads

We have two iPads, Apple TV, and use iTunes on Windows PC for our big music library.

We enabled Home Sharing everywhere. So we use the same Apple ID on iTunes for all of those devices.

That works fine.

Now it seems that when my wife puts an app on her iPad it shows up on mine as well.

Is there a way we can keep Home Sharing, sync like now with the Win 7 machine but keep separate

catalogs of apps on each of the devices?

Thanks for any help or advice!

Are the apps being bought on your wife's iPad ? If they are, and they then automatically download on your iPad, then have you got automatic downloads turned 'on' ?

If they are synced to your iPad when you connect it, then with the iPad connected to your computer and selected on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, on the Apps tab on the right-hand side make sure that the 'automatically sync new apps' tickbox (under the list of the apps) is not ticked.

Your computer's iTunes should remember the content selections for each device that is connected to it

    You nailed it!

My iPad was set for automatic downloads. I turned that off.

My wife's iPad was set on the PC iTunes to 'automatically sync new apps'. I turned that off.

    Thanks for the help!
