the problem is only occuring when plugged into an Exchange network. When accessing from outside, then the app works normally.
Seems to be linked to Network connections and settings!
It was not the case with Lion.

Others have reported that one of their email accounts (besides their icloud email) was causing this issue. They deleted the account out and the problem fixed it. Some people have reported adding it back and didnt have the problem.

It seems linked to network activity, but i'll defintely try to rebuild all mailboxes and see if it improves.
Besides, ML is kind of smooth, although the all Exchange interface is a bit less stable than Lion. I'm sure the next update will fix this

Had to delete the full Mail folder (+Maild Downloads) in the Library/Application Support, to recreate the full app support fmor the new version.
Seems to work normally now.
