So basically i got a new fibaropic connection with talktalk, and every device gets about 30mbps and my mac is getting about 5mbps. any ideas how to rectorfiy this, anything i can change in settings or?

If you are still on 10.6.6 I would start by downloading and installing the 10.6.8 Combo updater.

What results do you get from Speed Test?
5mbps on mac, and 37mbps, this is a big difference, please help,
Turn off IPv6 in your System Preferences > Networking> Advanced> TCP/IP
nope i have tried this in a different browser and also a guest account still really bad wifi, any other suggestions 🙂
Did you reboot and reconnect?

hey i looked at the link for possible soultions, and no, it still is slow wired, i do not know what you mean by bypassing the router though, and i will reboot and disconnect tommorow but i do not think there will be much difference, could it be something restraining the bandwith on the mac maybe?

ok, i have tried wired and wirless not much difference, an hardly non device is connecting meaning one other, but that is no connecting and anything, that is about 37mbps, any other suggestions please
