iPod 30GB&60GB Thickness

Different battery inside of it is one thing.

But the hard drive doesn't have 2 of them but its accutally a dual platter instead of a single platter. So there 2 plates inside of it instead of 1 plate.

There's two different kinds of hard drives between the 30 and the 60. The one with the least space has the smaller thickness. The thickness keeps decreasing, over-time, as technology is improved. My 4G 20GB is the same thickness as my newer 5G 60GB iPod with video. The thickest one I've seen, happens to be my friend's 60GB iPod Photo, which was even bigger than the 40. Thickness doesn't really matter anyways, unless you're trying to fit your iPod into a case/skin.
