Quicktime Does Not Download Upon Clicking the Download Button??

For the last several hours I have tried to download Quicktime 7.7.2 (Windows). However, upon clicking the download button I do not get a finder screen asking me where to place the file, even thought the browser goes to the "Thank you for downloading" page. I have tried to download it on two computers and two different browsers. I uninstalled it this morning as a step in fixing and iPod problem.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Windows 7, iTunes 10.6.3.25 x64 and QT 7.6.9

Would someone else try to download Quicktime (Windows) and let me know if the download begins?

I tried pressing the download button on the http://support.apple.com/kb/DL837 (Quicktime 7.7.2 for Windows) web page and a 39.5 MB file named "QuickTimeInstaller.exc" was automatically downloaded to my default Mountain Lion "Download" folder. Not sure if this is the file you wanted but yes, a file was downloaded to my system. Placed the file on a "Temporary" download page I created on my own server (http://downloads.walker4.me/Temporary.html) to see if the file would download any differently but it didn't on my system. (I.e., just installed the new OS and an still testing/getting used to changes in the way it operates.) Suggest you perform a search for the named installer file to see if it was downloaded to your system.
