Q: My battery life is bad.....not getting long on full charge. How do I trouble shoot to see if it's a problem with the battery?

If you go to usage then it will tell u time since last fully charge. if this is substantially less than 10 hours, depending on how much and for what you use your device, but make sure you kill the apps that are running in the back groud, because that can drain battery. If problem still persists i would take it to an apple store

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.

Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. In rare instances when using the Camera Connection Kit, you may notice that iPad does not charge after using the Camera Connection Kit. Disconnecting and reconnecting the iPad from the charger will resolve this issue.

I'm facing a issue in which the device was stuck on a loop(white screen of death).

I managed to get it out of the loop by doing hard resets.

Now a weird thing is happening, it shows zero battery, just two seconds later apple logo appears, momenta after that home screen opens up showcasing 100% battery. The moment I plug it out of the socket, it just goes dead.

@taxas Mac man, I would be obliged if you can help me narrow down the problem. Could this be a battery issue or an issue with the firmware?
