Q: Why does AT&T Data Usage differ from what iPhone reports?

Why does AT&T Data Usage differ from what iPhone reports?

In two months, AT&T reported I used 6GB of data.

The iPhone (after having for two months and never reset) reported 4GB ever.

Where did 2GB go... ?

And I don't think it's "rounding up" MB's like AT&T does, and I don't think it's "background Apps" like the AT&T Reps have said, because if an app was communicating with cell towers and talking to AT&T, you'd think it would track it too, because that's its purpose.

5 years in a partnership... and Apple and AT&T can't coordinate?

Someone help!

I have noticed this too, while i am With verizon my iPad shows that it has used more data than what verizon reports i have used. Some answers might be that your iPhone shows data you use from safari while AT&T shows everything, apps and safari. Im other wise not sure what else could be causing the difference
