How to identify files taking up space on imac intel core 2 duo

About this mac says "other" takes up largest amount of space, 139.9 GB on Macintosh HD. How can I identify which ones they are to thin them out and gain back some HD space?

Get OmniDiskSweeper and run as root.

Open Terminal and copy/paste and hit return. Give your admin pword when requested, which won't appear as you type it in. Hit return again.

sudo /Applications/OmniDiskSweeper.app/Contents/MacOS/OmniDiskSweeper
