In OS X mountain lion, in Safari, the search bar is now missing, how can I get it back? My wife likes both the URL window and the search bar at the top of the page. How can I get the separate Google search bar at the top and keep the URL window too?

I don't think you can 😟 You can still use the bar for Google searches. It's easy once you get used to it.
Maybe my wife and I have to get used to it. I guess we'll have to.
File a bug reportwith Apple for lost functionality. I despise the unibar.
Thanks baltwo, I agree, it was better before the "unibar". My wife, Pam, doesn't like it either. The "duobar" helped you remember what words you used in the search. Right?
AFAIK, the dropdown gives you suggested words and recent search result.
Never noticed that. Next time I'll be more observant. There's a new book out called "The Power of Habit". It's had to get used to a new search bar.
I despise the unibar, too. I don't want to change. Either does my wife.
Actually, it's a pain in the *** to get used to. I used to go to a web address by typing in the domain (such as "apple"). Now, instead of taking me to apple.com, it takes me to a ******* search page with the search word "apple".
Yes, I *could* type in the ".com", but why the **** should I have to?
I'm willing to bet that, if you type "apple", the first entry on the search results will be www.apple.com. All you need do is click on it. Ok, one extra click from what you used to do, but, I suspect with time, you will be able to get used to it.
If you keep typing all those random asterisks in the address bar, it may confuse things though.
