Does anyone have an email client that is working with Mountain Lion? I'm giving up on Mail after installing Mountain Lion

Hi

I give up. I just cannot see my exchange inbox in Mail after installing Mountain Lion. My mail is not being deleted. Its still in my inbox I just can't see it. I've tried everything suggested on the forums and nothing is working for me.

My productivity has completely stalled and I really need to move to an email client that is going to work seamlessly with Mountain Lion.

Any recommendations?

Are you using mac mail? If so, go to mail preferences and edit SMTP...uncheck default and check the box under it and put in port 587. Lots of people have this problem. It worked for me and the next day it didn't work. I then unchecked use this server and it is working again. The problem is mountain lion, not the server.

Exchange accounts don't use 587, you are thinking of Imap.

I have the same problem. Upgraded to ML, and my Mac Mail suddenly can't communicate with Gmail's SMTP server.

I have been having the SAME problem with ALL my Gmail accounts with Mail.app - It is very annoying, especially when you have clients and other important email to respond to. So you're definitely NOT alone in this department.

Might have to go back to Thunderbird or something until this gets fixed, which is going to really suck because I have 5000+ emails along with all my Email Folders in Mail not too mention the Rules I have had setup for years!

AND with the RSS Feeds NOT working in BOTH Mail and Safari! That was a HUGE MISTAKE and defintely a STEP BACKWARDS on whoever's idea that was for sure!

After lots of searching, this worked. I think I went through this the last time I upgraded OS. Now if I can just figure out why iTunes quit downloading podcasts......."Not enough access privilages". 😢

This happens to me from time to time. The folder is set read only. In my case it's because I have a shared iTunes music folder that my family uses so we don't have redundant files in each home folder. Sometimes the permissions get messed up.

So find your iTunes music folder and see how the permissions are set on that and the Podcast folder.

My mail application will not even open,

This happened to me with the preview app when I installed the lion upgrade.

Would you think apple would test these things before they screw up every ones comptuter and then waste evry ones time trying to correct, and on top of this we get the privilage of paying them.

Come on get this fixed

Well, yours is screwed up but 'everyone' ..... I doubt that.

Reinstall your OS, it's simple and fast. Backup first.
