May 21, 2013 7:47 PM in response to Csound1by bpskier,Running in safe mode appears to restrict the ability to run java applications such as the Java Control Panel. The system reports a program abort just after after launching the Java Control Panel. Without Java Control Panel starting correctly I can't attempt to reproduce the problem.
Deinstalling Java means I can't run the System Preferences / Java Control Panel which always hangs the gui after selecting Settings for Temporary Internet Files. Note running a Win 7 x64 bit image via vmware fusion stored on a thunderbolt drive with the display setting for Accelerate 3D graphiccs set to "On" continues to hit the gui hang during vm boot. Its not a java only problem but something broader than this.
A new admin account still experiences the same hang when running Java Control Panel.
In all tests if I disable Dynamic Switching via gfxCardStatus and only use integrated Intel HD 4000 GPU, the problem does not occur.
The console log after each hang continues to indicate: "NVDA(OpenGL): Channel timeout!".
The problem seems very straightforward to replicate on my system with my Macbook pro config specified in earlier post and very clearly seems to be an issue with use of the NVDA GPU. There is no randomness in the problem such that it only happens after x number of days. -

The word you are attempting to use is spelled Architecture, the word you used does not exist in the English language (look at the link you posted)

May 22, 2013 7:38 AM in response to Csound1by James_22,Sorry for my english. But a grammatical error will not change the problem of NVIDIA Channel timeout.
And if you have any solutions share not want to be an English teacher.

May 22, 2013 7:43 AM in response to James_22by Csound1,I find it hard to take anyone seriously when they are not able (or can't be bothered) to spell a word that is correctly written down in front of them, it suggests poor observational abilities at least.
Good luck with your problem.

May 22, 2013 8:15 AM in response to Csound1by fei por,Please, let's allow for each other.
We are not all native English speakers and even among my English or American friends typos are commonplace. Some are not good at spelling and others exhibit poor syntax and grammar.
Our common ground is trying to find a cause or causes for this problem and from there finding a fix if there is such a thing.
Peace

May 22, 2013 9:03 AM in response to fei porby Csound1,When it reaches the point that it is not intelligible (I'm not the only one here that did not understand) it is time to use the handy little spell checker. A tool provided for this very purpose.
Not bothering tells a story about how important having your question understood actually is.

May 22, 2013 8:29 PM in response to Csound1by fei por,You have a good point provided you are addressing anyone adequately proficient in English.
Besides spellcheck throw up some bizarre choices and mass emails have demonstrated how our brains manage to decipher typo-ridden text.
Life is not black and white and our choices as readers of these posts are to ignore what we do not understand or, if interested, seek clarification.
Given that a form of 'English' is the language of computers doesn't mean we can communicate without misunderstanding.
In this case James_22 could write in Portuguese and ask us to seek our own translations.

He could but he didn't. It is sometimes better all round if some posters do. There are users here proficient in many different languages. I honestly did not understand his reply, thus could offer no help. Since then, there has been no posts on this thread offering help to the OP so I have had no reason to post back until now. So to answer James_22's question, now I understand it - Yes, each of my Macs have the relevant Graphics Cards. And No, I have no 'timeouts' with any of them and never had.
Cheers

In fact clarification was asked for, twice, the result of which was a sarcastic response rather than clarification.
That was the point when I ceased to care about the problem. What goes around etc.
