Cannot recall how to open iBook G3 14-Inch DVD tray

I just gave my ancient iBook to my neice.

She called and asked how to eject the DVD tray?

I could not recall. I thought it had a small oval button on the right side that ejected it?

Thanks in advance for assistance.

If it's like the 12-inch model, the eject button is the F12 key, clear at the upper right of the keyboard. It's marked with the eject symbol.

You can also open the tray by holding down the trackpad button during startup.

For future reference, I use either a straightened paper clip (Apple's own suggestion) or a darning needle as a way to open the tray-loading drive in an emergency. A straight pin is a trifle small; it would be easy to miss your mark and wind up with the pin somewhere where it is not supposed to be.

(You can't open the tray with the eject button unless the iBook is turned on.)
