Strange Error message, what should I do?

I am getting a trianglular exclamation messsage, but it pops up so fast and then disappears so fast that I am unable to read it, it happens at least 2 or more times a day when using my computer, but my computer functions fine; however, I am paranoid that someone might have hacked my comp? How can I get rid of this issue, has this ever happened to anyone?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

It's a dialog box warning you of something - hard to say what since you say that it goes away so fast that you can't see it. I highly doubt that anyone's hacked your computer as the warning box is a fairly standard dialog box.

If it goes away so fast that you can't read it, can you tell us if it pops up while using any application in particular?
