I have a 2nd gen ipod touch that cannot be recognized by my pc or itunes ive tried pretty much everything down to formating my computer to fix this problem i would like to know were to find ipod drivers if possible. im about to snap my ipod sence its pretty much no use to me anymore because of this any help?

Did you tried to connect you iPod in DFU mode? You can achieve this by first turning off you iPod, and then pressing the Home-button and the powerbutton at the same time, while it is connected to you PC. iTunes will now show a message that an iPod has been detected in DFU mode. Then try to restore you iPod with iTunes. Hope this will help you.

Does the iPod charge?
Try connecting to a another computer to help determine if you have an iPod or computer problem.
I have done all the steps i can in the link. I have tried it in dfu mode. More recently i have tried resetting my ipod in the settings and now it cant start..... but it still can be recognized by another computer. It does not charge.

i tried removinng and reinstalling this morning. I have checked the windows update page and it says ive got them all.
