Since i upgrade to mountain lion, mission control don't work after couple hours in use. The only way to have it again working is resetting my macbook...i don't know what to do. 😕
Same here. It just stopps working. Haven't friend force-quitting the finder, but other people say typing killalldock into the terminal works. Still wish they kept expose the way it used to be.
Expose how it used to be YES! http://www.cultofmac.com/182586/revert-mission-control-to-expose-style-in-mounta in-lion-os-x-tips/
I think I am havening the same problem, I have just upgraded to Mountain Lion, and now every time my iMac goes into sleep mode Mission Control stops working!! And I have to reset the machine to get it back again. Is there a fix for this?
Cheers
George
After a quick look i have found that the "Killall Dock" command in terminal does work (and is quicker thatn restarting my machine) but is not a long term fix.
Yep, same problem for me. Would love to hear a better solution to the problem. "Killall Dock" is not sustainable.
is this the software issue? or should i go to apple care? what do u think?
Same problem here. Although one time it came back on its own. Not sure why.
Same problem here...
Do I have to downgrade to Lion?
Anyone has a solution for this instead of restart?
Killall Dock in Terminal does work. I suspect the problem witih wifi dropouts and spinning ball and this are all linked... some major SNAFU in 10.8.1
Same here, in 10.8.2, funny I didn't have this issue with 10.8.1…
Same problem here. Some days I can work for 8 hours straight. Some days I can only use mission control for an hour. Running 10.8 on 2.7 GHz i5 iMac with two secondary monitors.
I have the Same Problem, but I set up an Apple Script which I launch by keystroke. Here the script code:
tell application "Finder"
activate
open application file "Terminal.app" of folder "Utilities" of folder "Applications" of startup disk
do shell script "killall Dock"
tell application "Terminal" to quit
end tell

I am having the same issue. I have tried the terminal command and it does not fix the issue. When I log on as Guest it does not happen. Both Mission Control and Widgets function normally. I do not knw what else to try. Running 10.8.2 on mid-2009 MacBook Pro17" Would sure like to get things back to the way they were.
Cheers
Ditto. Same issue. Running 10.9.3 that came with this brand-new Air. I've had this computer less than 24 hours - there's almost nothing on it - and this is happening already. Three-finger swipes do nothing. (Two-finger scrolling still works.) The Exposé / Mission Control shortcut key on the keyboard does nothing. I have un-checked and re-checked the appropriate options in System Preferences. This is clearly a major bug.
