not enough storage error on iPhone 4S
My iCloud account shows 3.6GB available and my total backup between my two devices is 1.4 GB. I receive the error not enough space on my iPhone, iPad backs up fine. Any ideas?

I think the error is referring to the memory on your iPhone, not storage in iCloud. You may need to delete apps, music and/or videos from the iPhone to make more memory (i.e. storage) available.
