I live in the UK
My brother in Australia sent me his old iPhone 4 version 2
I phoned Vodafone Australia, they confirmed the phone is NOT locked to my brothers old contract.
Using an 02 or Vodafone sim purchased here in the UK, I get NO strength signal at all but do get the carrier. i.e. 02 12.0
If I try to make a call, it instantly says 'Call Failed'

Can any one shed some light please
