Q: When I try to restore my ipod, it says that my ipod is occupied, why?

Hi,

Lately I have been having problems with my ipod classic 120gb. It is an old ipod but that use to work perfectly. I have tried restoring it, but as soon as the restoring application starts, Itunes tells me that my ipod is occupied and that therefore it cannot restore my ipod.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you

If Enable disk use is checked on the iPod's Summary tab in iTunes (where the Restore button is located), try unchecking that setting and Apply the change.  Then try doing a Restore again.

If that does not help, try restarting your computer.  Immediately run iTunes and try doing a Restore again.
