Urgent. Updated Java but still can't play video

I've never had to play video that required the use of Java.

Javascript yes, Java no. Two different plug-ins.

Check your browser preferences that Javascript is ON and Java is OFF.

Since Java has been a security nightmare recently, I suspect you have been conned if you require Java to watch video online.

Where is the site with the video? Don't post a link to it.

Are you sure your not getting Flash confused with Java or Javascript?

Flash is required for a lot of video online. Silverlight is required for Netflix viewing.

What video are you referring to? What version of Mac OS X, and what version of Java? We can't offer any useful advice with so few details on which to base a diagnosis.
