Q: Air Play Mirroring

Hi, anyone have issues seeing the Airplay Icon on their Macs? Although I checked all the points raised in the Apple troubleshooting page relating to mirroring with Airplay, I still cant see the icon appearing on my MacAir.

MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion

Why I can stream from my iPhone 4 with the air play "icon" to my Google Tv, but from my MacBook Pro has been impossible? Does the MacBook has to be connected to an apple tv?

AirPlay

AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer).

Thanks for the feedback Kappy, looks as if I lucked-out, my MacAir was purchased in May 2011.
