iPod Classic Skipping Songs?

Ever since yesterday my iPod Classic has been skipping songs when I press the next button. I browse songs by artist, and when I choose the first song in an album instead of saying like '1 of 6' it'll say '4 of 6' and then it'll just go through the songs arbitrarily. :/

I also can't locate the voice recorder feature either. I treat my iPod Classic as if it were my child, this recent malfunction has really gotten me shaken. 😟
