mountain lion upgrade
I have snow leopard and I am thinking about upgrading to mountain lion. If I do, will the last upgrade between snow leopard and mountain lion, which I think is lion, will it be installed also?

I looked in App Store and never seen the one before Mountain Lion offered. If it was available, would it be beneficial to download it, before Mountain Lion? If so, is there a way to get it?

No.
You do not need Lion... You can go straight from SL to ML... If your Mac meets the System Requirements for ML.
