Q: Has anyone actually had any luck getting the NVIDIA issues fixed?
My computer just had the video issue pop up. I took it to one genius bar and they told me they had to test it, walked away for 10 minutes, came back and said they didn't have to test it and that it wasn't covered but that was definitely the problem. I called bull on that crap so I left and I think I am no longer an Apple fan, too bad because I was probably one of their biggest fans! They wanted $500+ to fix it in store and said it would be a week, or I could ship it back to Apple and it would be $210 and they would check everything to be sure it was working properly and oh yeah, they'd wipe my hard drive and it would take a week as well. Why would they need to wipe my hard drive to fix the video card? I am giving them one more shot at a different genius bar tomorrow, if they fail me after this visit, I can't say I'll ever buy another Apple product again. Apple has gone downhill after Steve if you ask me.
