Sound file?

Here's another issue along the line. I saved the chat onto my computer, but now when I open the saved chat, the file just appears as a generic iTunes file, but I can't copy it onto my computer. The file should be there because the chat itself is 121.6 megabytes.

Any clues?

Yeah, but it says saved files are on my desktop. The file is not there though. It's kind of strange because I was never asked if I wanted to download the file. It just came up in the chat window. I'm still convinced the file is here. Somewhere....

There was nothing to click on. It was a little quicktime window inside of the chat.

But there was never a transfer. I could only quick on the volume, play, and fwd/rwd controls in a quicktime window.

It's strange because when I try to drag it out of the chat (I suppose all of this is a moot point since I've had to quit the program a couple of times today) it gives the little white stop sign. I was able to play the file back in iChat. I used wiretap to make a new file, but it's a little disappointing because it also picked up some other sounds that were internal to my computer. But with a performance coming up Sunday, there's not much I can do.

Yes, I for one am confused about the way files are handled too. The program of Quicktime doesn't come up, instead there's a mini-movie inside of the iChat chat box.
