Catch all emails and multiply email adresses

How can you manage multiply email adresses by one user.

example:

ROBERT has two email adresses : robert_home@domein.com and robert_work@domein.com

these two adresses must be sent from OS X Server to the client 'Robert'.

And how can you set up 'catch all email' to one specific adres. We would like to deliver all the emails with a different name for the *@domein.com to one client of our OS X Server.

And is there a way to send one email to multiply users, example:

email: family@domein.com must be sent to robert@domein.com, sarah@domein.com, nivel@domein.com and so on, and so on.

Does anybody knows how to set this up in the new OS X Server?????

You can add multiple aliases to a user from within the server app. Just right click the user you want to edit and choose advanced options (it may take some time before this option appears). In the resulting dialog you should see a field named Aliases, where you can enter the alias you want there.

I don't think there's a way to catch all addresses, if you find one: please share...

The mailing list feature of Lion Server - Mailman - what taken out, please check out this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4161671

No, sorry this is not working!! We have for an example two clients.

sarah@domein.com and fred@domein.com, bouth users must recieve all the mails from work@domein.com.

If we put by each user 'sarah' and 'fred' the aliases Work, we can only save it by one of our clients, not by both?

So it is not working like we used to by the old Os X Server Lion. Where we can put endless of email aliassen by each client!

Well, you can solve the 'problem' of not having a general mailbox by creating a new user call called info and give that user the alias of orders.

Then you'd give both Fred and Sarah the credentials to this new general mailbox user account... Make sure both orders and info are removed as an alias from both aforementioned users.

As I've mentioned before, sending mail that is to be delivered to multiple users requires a mailing list program like Mailman to be installed on OS X Server.

We thought about that also, but we noticed that it is not working.

For example, i have the email adres levin@ldbproduction.nl but i make the alias 'twitter' and 'info' in my client account.

So i send a test email from outside the office with our iPhone on the user@me.com account. to info@ldbproduction.nl but nothing is happening, even not with the twitter@ldbproduction.nl mail.

What i know where the aliasses for stand is when you login to the server, example.

Username = myfirstnamewithmysurname

the alias lets you make a short name to login quickly, so if you make the alias like 'firstname' you now can login to your client account with that alias, but it is not working for emails.

Believe me, it works.

Sending mail from me.com may bounce temporarily as greylisting is active. Me.com tries to send the mail again in one hour, which will then pass through to the intended inbox. Check your SMTP log within Server.app.

The time it takes for a mail server to retry sending mail after a soft bounce differs from Mail Server (MTA) to Mail server. Yahoo takes only 5 minutes. Although I intend to disable greylisting as a whole (but I'll post on how to do that here),
