We just bought a 2006 Mustang with a Shaker 500 audio system. In the brochure it states "with the ability to play standard and mp3 burned cds". Normal audio cds burned on my mac with itunes 6 skip. Can't burn mp3 disks with songs purchased from the music store. Help!
Thanks so much for the response. I tried other brands of CDs, I'll try the slower burn speed, but I feel my problem is iTunes purchases and mp3 incompatibility. I'm trying to find a way around that issue.
For what it's worth. My Brother can't play any of my iTunes discs in his Ford vehicle. He has to reimport the files and then reburn them on his PC. I wonder if it's something with Ford stereos? My acura has no problem playing my iTunes discs.
Must be a Ford problem. Our BMW, Hummer, and PT (geez, sounds so preppy, we're not, promise) can all play the CDs we burn. The fact that "mp3" is right on the face of the cd changer in the car is clear on the format of choice. Has your brother had success changing the format of iTunes purchased songs to mp3? I'm working on that one as we speak. Do you know how he exported then imported successfully? Thanks
