I downloaded the new x is mountain lion and I can't get to mirror my Mac book pro on my tv through apple tv. Can you help me?

Which MacBook Pro do you have and which AppleTV? (check on the Apple menu -> about this computer)
The AirPlay mirroring require a second-generation Apple TV or later and is supported on the MacBook Pro early 2011 or newer.
If you have a older Macbook you cannot use airplay, simple solutioon is to downlaod airparrot http://airparrot.com/products.php
