How do I send Mountain Lion as a gift to my son, I can only find gift certificates in the Apple Store Canada?

Ah ... wrote this before I saw your senond post.
International boundaries play havoc with "nation-oriented" cards and certificates. Probably easier to send a check (sounds tacky, yes, but ...).
Thank you Steve, tell me, how do I surf the thread without submitting a question? The only way I know is to post a question then check the side bar for others with the same question... is there a way to simply surf?

I want to send a $50 App card as a surprise gift, my son has done this with me occasionally and I receive an email with a code in it that I use to redeem whatever. When I went into the App store today I can't find anywhere to put in his email so that the same thing can happen in reverse... any comments?

If you ONLY want to surt the forums and check out various threads (& you are not specifically looking for your own posts), you can even skip the login/sign in step. So essentially, you go to www.apple.com > Click Support > Click Communities, which will show you the screen below. Scroll thru the page to see, and click to go to any 'community' page.
At the top right you can also carry out a search for any topic/questions
