Q: Personal Hotspot

I have IPad New IOS 5.1.1 I tried to save internet tethering setting but I could not. Personal hotspot is not apeare I dont know why??

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi + Cellular, iOS 5.1.1

    It shoudl appear in Settings > General > Network > Personal Hotspot. If it doesn't, then does your carrier support it on the iPad - you might need to contact them in case it's an extra fee/subscription, and some carriers only support it on the iPhone and not on the iPad. You could also check to see if your carrier has any updates available : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1970

    But i Have iPhone 4 and it is working fine

    Yes, but as I said not all carriers support it on both devices, some only support it on the iPhone and not on the iPad - have you checked with your carrier to see if they support it on iPad and/or checked to see if there are any carrier updates ?

    Dear All

    I am back regarding this issue, after I update my IPad to iOS 6 the setting for personal hotspot is appear but it is not working it give me check your carrier. I am really surprised that  apple can't  solve this problem.

    Most of the people believe this feature should supported by carrier but this not true. If so, that mean both devices ( IPhone and iPad ) should not support.

    Dear all

    After upgrade iphone 4. To 6 iOS my personal hotspot not working with usb also I called 3 network plus apple support unable to help .

    Dear

    No one will help. Really I was wrong when I upgrade to IOS6 because there are many bugs and now if go back to IOS 5 I will lose my Backup (old version)

    I too am having intermittent problems with hotspot once I went to 6. Both Bluetooth and wifi will refuse to connect from time to time. I have tried a lot of things but nothing seems to work consistently. After a while one or both methods will work again. Last time I reset networks and it seemed to fix it. However previously this did nothing. Looking for a sure fire way to reinstate. It seems apple is completely ignoring this issue? Currently I am travelling but on my return the first time it doesn't work I am off to the apple store to see how confused the so-called "tech experts" are by this seemingly common experience! I am connecting ipad to iPhone to pass 3G Internet to iPad.
