why not support the MacBook Pro ?

why not the power nap support the MacBook Pro (without retina display) ?

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion

Because it requires hardware that is only present in the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro with Retina Display.
