Q: The sound has stopped working on my 28 inch monitor
I don't know if any one can help. My macbook pro has been working fine since I upadted the OS. But when I turned my computer on today it took forever to boot up and now the audio in my monitor does not work. I am using a macbook pro mid 2009 and a Apple 28 inch monitor. I have tried - System Pref - Audio - Output - but where it used to say 'Display Audio', there is only 'Internal Speekers' and all sound is coming out of my macbook. Logic has 'Display Audio' selected, but sound comes out of the macbook.
Any ideas?

Verify that the monitor's USB connection is plugged into a working USB port. The audio is carried by the USB cord. Should look something like this:
Note: If you have anything plugged into your Mac's analog audio output, you won't be able to select Display Audio. It will just bounce back. In the case of my MacMini, it's called the Headphones.
