Where to buy Keynote for OSX 10.6.8
Does anyone know where I can buy a version of Keynote that works in Snow Leopard? The one in Mac App Store requires Lion.
Thanks.

So you should update to Mountain Lion. This update will not make your documents and everything disappear. Then, download keynote.
Come on, that can't be the solution? What if I don't want to upgrade from 10.6.8 to 10.7.x? I have the same problem. Just wanted to buy Keynote, only to find out that it requires 10.7.4.
So, is there a chance to buy Keynote for 10.6.8?
Unfortunately, there is not a good solution. I just spoke with Apple support, and they have no way of getting you Keynote for OS X 10.6. They want you to upgrade to Mountain Lion (which is not an option for me, because my computer is too old -- it would run really slowly), and Lion is not available anymore, which screws people like us over. The only thing they could offer was to buy an old (hardcopy) version off of Amazon... not satisfying, but maybe the only option unless you can get Mountain Lion or want to buy a new computer.
It's outrageous how difficult they make it for people with older systems.
Just upgrade to 10.7 Lion huh, then upgrade again to 10.8 Mountain Lion. more advanced OS and can support iwork
@ Alexander Sutikno, @BookBookBook - There are many reasons why <simply> upgrading to the latest OS is not appropriate or in many cases, even possible (older hardware), so the original question is relevant....and still unanswered.
Yes, it is really a shame. Everything shall be so simple with Apple. It isn't anymore. On my MacBook Pro Lion or Mountina Lion don't run even if I would want to. So I can't load Keynote ALTHOUGH it runs on 10.6.8 that is ridiculous for a hightech enterprise as Apple.

Hello,
same here. Bought Keynote last year on App Store and after setting up my system two days ago I cannot install it anymore. Hey Apple guys I paid you money for this piece of software! Send me a hard copy if you don´t want to promote it on Apple App store! Or give me a free update on Lion.
Thanks
I just upgraded to mountain lion just to get keynote. And guess what! The update crashed my whole system! It keep restarting over and over again at the boot screen. Well done apple, you just made my life worse. Paid $$ to crash my own Mac. No wonder the OS is so cheap.. its useless
I have this problem too and also with some other app's. I don't consider to move to OSX 10.7 or ortherwise I can buy new equipment. I bougt Pages,(read Keynote), for 10.6 and it should be possible to install it again from my account to the same MAC if there went somthing wrong. Make this service workable! Why should I buy app's from the appstore otherwise? Will it get better?
.
Hello.
This is an old thread but some folks may still be looking for an answer (like me). I found that there are still boxed copies of iWork '09 that have the older system requirements (non-lion types) available from Amazon and other vendors. The price wasn't bad either. I just ordered a copy of the suite to set up a nonated 1st Gen MacBook at my improv theatre.
Hope this information isn't too late to help some folk.
hello tobefnk

As a graphic designer working for a education book in a poor country I will work with Tiger many years more.
