Aug 2, 2012 2:39 AM in response to @Brianaby turingtest2,I suspect a misunderstanding. Apple provide 90 days of complimentary telephone support when you purchase their hardware. If you require telephone support at a later date you would need to set up an AppleCare plan. That will be what they were proposing to charge for.
What is the issue when updating the iPod?
