I need to restore the factory settings on my iPod Touch 4, and first to sync it with iTunes on the computer to save my apps. Will all my Shazam tags be saved on the computer, and when I put Shazam back on the iPod, will all my tags be kept or lost? My local Apple Store did not know the answer.

- App data is not stored with the app in your iTunes library. App data is stored in the iPod backup that iTunes makes. Thus you will have to restore from backup to get app data and the apps have to be in the iTunes library when you do the restore.
- The only exception would be if the app stores data on their servers. Those usually require you to log in on the app. I would go to the developer' support site and see what they say.
