Notes app on MacBook Pro

I recently installed Mountain Lion and the Notes app crashes when I attempt to use it. Here is some of the text from the report:

Application Specific Information:

*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'Folder class mismatch for <EWSCalendarFolderType 0x7fa6b3bec8c0> {

FolderId = <EWSFolderIdType 0x7fa6b3bc3fc0>;

ParentFolderId = <EWSFolderIdType 0x7fa6b3bd0ca0>;

FolderClass = IPF.Appointment;

DisplayName = Calendar;

TotalCount = 0;

ChildFolderCount = 0;

EffectiveRights = nil;

ExtendedProperty = nil;

PermissionSet = nil;
