Notes app on MacBook Pro

I recently installed Mountain Lion and the Notes app crashes when I attempt to use it. Here is some of the text from the report:

Hi guys, I have this exact problem also. Are any of you syncing notes to exchange? Wonder if that is the issue?

My only issue with Notes is that I've never been able to sync it with iCloud. I get a 'contacting server' message and then 'the server is busy, please try again'.

I use Notes frequently, though, and have never had any crashes.

Same overhere. Do you guys maybe have multiple notes-accounts (as in my situation, multiple Exchange-accounts) ?

I was having this same issue today after updating to El Capitan Dev Preview 8 (could have had it in earlier builds - haven't opened the app recently). The fix for me was to disable my Exchange syncing under System Prefs > Accounts. I was then able to open the application and re-enable my Exchange notes without issue.
