Q: Mountain Lion Server and 10.4 client

Could anyone tell me whether a 10.4 client will connect to a new 10.8 server over AFP? I have seen the kb article here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4700??? but would like to know for sure before making some recommendations whether it will work or not.

    Any luck getting this answered?  I'm very much in the same boat and would like to know what road bumps to expect.

    I've got the same question...we have begun the process of upgrading computers on our network, but still have many running 10.4... Given that our mountain lion iMacs are unable to connect to older AFP servers, we are concerned updating our server to a new mountain lion server will render the bulk of our clients on 10.4 unusable. So...can 10.4 clients connect to the Mountain lion server for file sharing?
