Cellular data doesn't function unless I restart the new iPad!

Whenever I turn away from a wifi spot and try to use my sim for Internet (I 've monthly 2 giga data plan), my new iPad just doesn't recognize the service untell I restart it! This process (transfere from sim to wifi and vice versa) should be automatic, isn't it.

Any idea or help would be appreciated..
