My iPhone vo, volume control on iphone not working

volume control on iphone not working need help

Just yesterday it was fine but now its not there

I have a iphone 4s with iOS 5.1.1

The volume button on the side no longer works when you press up or down it just pops up the screen that says ringer and the volume image but wont change the volume. Also where the volume is on apps like youtube is a black box and you cant change the volume or anything.

Any help is appreciated.

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1, Dosent work for app, game and music

make sure the sure the phone is not on mute, flip the switch to up using the side control.

Dear razmee

Its on and not on mute i can hear my ring tone and my alarm alert but why i cant hear my own music or game sound

Do u have email id so that i can send u snapshots

*when the volume buttons are pressed on the home screen i get "ringer" and the speaker symbol appear.

*when playing back on iTunes with no headphones in, I get nothing through the internal speakers, nor do the volume buttons work, nor is the volume slider visable.

*when i playback Youtube content with no headphones in, I get nothing through the internal speakers, nor do the volume buttons work, nor is the volume slider visable.

*With headphones plugged in sound is audible and volume buttons work.

whilst using voicemail, (no headphones connected) i can play the message through the speakers and control volume using side buttons.

I'm having the same issue too. I can use my head phones and it works fine. Nothing is on silent but if my headset is not plugged in and I adjust the volume the only thing that comes up is the speaker image but not the bar indicator that says the volume is going up or down. Sometimes it when I unlock my phone I can hear it but then not even 2 seconds later it goes silent again.

on ver 6.s1 there is a way... settings > general > Accessibility > incoming call.... set here where you want it to go to
