Slow two finger tap with mountain lion.

I have used snow leopard for a long time. I never updated to lion, but when mountain lion came out i thought it was about time to upgrade. The first thing i noticed was an annoying delay whenever i do a two finger tap to right click. One finger tap works instantly, and if I set right-click to "bottom right corner" it also works instantly, but for some reason when i set right click to two-finger tap it has about a 3/4 second delay before it registers the click. I know its not the end of the world but it is getting on my nerves and I want to know if this is fixable. Its not a hardware issue because the right click worked fine when I was running snow leopard, I'm mainly just curious if anyone else has had this issue or knows how to fix it.
