MacBook moo sound

I just noticed another strange sound from my MBP.

It sounds like a fan or a harddisk trying to start up. A little bit like a moo of a cow.

It's not like the continuous whining sound. It appears more randomly for about 1 second and returns every 10 - 30 seconds.

After the two whining noises this is the 3rd strange sound from this MBP and
i'm considering more and more to return this machine and have my
money back. 😟

I wonder if theres anyone with the same noise? Or is this only concerned
on my machine.

It has been suggested that the moo is a fan getting ready to spin up but then spinning back down because it's not needed yet. I thought the comments about this sound were really strange until I heard it the first time. But it's really really quiet and it doesn't seem to be any problem. Plus it's so cute, I've never had a laptop moo at me before!

The high-pitched LCD brightness related whine is a bad inverter and needs a hardware fix if you have it. Apple will acknowledge and fix this. The CPU whine is one that some people seem more sensitive to than others. I do have that also and do find it very annoying especially at night. But not quite so annoying that I want to give up the MBP for it.
