i appreciate all answers but my mac's screen didn't break, it workd fine, it was only a few seconds, and I didn't sit on the ENTIRE thing. a nd it has a hard shell case. Thank you, all of your help really did help me.
Oh, so the essence of your question was, "I sat on my Mac but it appeared to do no physical damage." Will it be OK, or will this cause performance problems?"
If you detect no cracks in the screen and the hinges are functioning normally, you have probably done no damage. There is nothing you can do to it that way that will reduce its performance. If you had caused hidden damage, it is likely to not work at all.

Yes, you may break it: the screen, the hinges. Don't leave it places that people are likely to sit on (e.g. chairs, the sofa).
The only risk is that it cracks the screen.
If this is an ongoing risk, I suggest you pack it in a cloth-faced neoprene sleeve (made from a material similar to wetsuits).
I think it would be rather certain that it would suffer extreme physical damage.
