Hi.
After updating to Mountain Lion on my iMac I lost some functionality on my magic mouse. The most anoing is the zoom fungtion when I press CTRL on the keyboard and scroll up or down. Also I can see that my mouse software (preferences) have a different layout with less options than I used to have. What can be wrong.

I am not sure if I understand your question, but....
Scrolling is accomplished by brushing one finger up or down.
Smart zooming is accomplished by a double tap with one finger....

If your preference screen has changed then it's probably a conflict with a 3rd party driver. USBoverdrive is one that causes this. Your prefpane should look like this. The control Scroll zoom is controlled the the Accessibility prefpane.
