I downloaded the scanner driver and the four software options, but I don't see a printer driver. I've tried to print several things to no avail.
Open System Preferences > Print and Fax and select + button
I'm having the same problem. I just found the scanner driver also, which worked, but Mountain Lion does not see the Printer. I put in a support request to Canon.
Canon just got back with the solution that worked for me.
"The ICA driver only installs the scanner driver and not the printer. Until the
drivers specific to 10.8 are available, we have been informed by Canon that the
drivers for 10.7 will work with 10.8. When you download and install the driver
packages for 10.7, it will tell you that the drivers do not have a digital
signature, but it will give you the option to install them anyway and this should
get the printer working."
Here is what I did:
Get rid of the scanner in the Preferenced:Print and Scanner.
Reset Printer System.
I then downloaded the 10.7 (Lion) MP560 driver:
MP560 series Mini Master Setup (Mac OS X 10.6/...
File Name: mms_-mac-mp560-1_1-ucd.dmg (7/22/11)
Install, follow instructions and my wireless PIXMA MP560 worked fine on 10.8 (Mountain Lion).
