What to do if Mountain Lion keeps on freezing randomly?

I've encountered this problem for 3 times in the last 24 hours. I just browse random sites then suddenly my screen wouldn't respond. My cursor can still be moved though but other than that, I can barely much do nothing. So I have to force restart my MBP.

Reinstalling the OS X rarely fixes a browser issue.

If you are using Safari..

From the Safari menu bar top of your screen click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.

Click: Remove All Website Data

Now back to the Safari menu bar click Safari > Reset Safari

Select: Clear History

Deselect all the other boxes. Click Reset. That also empties the Safari cache.

Quit then relaunch Safari to test.

If that didn't help, quit Safari. Now open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar top of your screen click Go > Go to Folder

Type this exactly as you see it here: ~/Library/Safari

Click Go then move the following files from the Safari folder to the Trash.

LastSession.plist

History.plist

Downloads.plist

Quit then relaunch Safari to test.
